Can I show Activity as modal window and dismiss it similarly to presentViewController in iOS?

I'm just wondering is there any analog if presentViewController:animated: and UINavigationController stack in Android?

Is singleTask analog to presentViewController inside UINavigationController and singleInstance is the same without navigation stack?

I'm iOS developer and this is a bit complicated for me to understand this paragm. Could someone explain this is single words or iOS SDK terms?
